Mr. Lee’s General Store & Haberdashery

February 25, 2010

It’s been 20+ years since I’ve been to Vancouver, and I don’t remember much beyond that geodesic dome from the Expo and going up into the mountains with my family and crossing some scary-ass rope bridge straight out of an Indiana Jones flick.

Still, it was a nice place to visit, and watching the Olympics helps. It also helps that places like Mr. Lee’s General Store & Haberdashery recently opened to help outfit the men-folk. From their blog:
Mr. Lee’s is a faithful extension of the Belmont Barber Shop, providing an experience as well as quality crafted goods to the gentlemen of Vancouver. The general store is a loving collaboration brought to you by Dustin Fishbook, Meghan Paterson and Jeff Petry. Mr. Lee’s has a curated selection of accessories, clothing and accompaniments that we feel are noteworthy, rare and purposeful, and above all else special. In addition to this we carry a template of product that was sold by general stores of the 1930s & 40s: specialty foods, hard goods, apothecary, magazines, fine paper products, flowers and notions. A one-stop shop to heal all your hankerings and make life a little sweeter.
