Paul Giambara was an in-house art director for Polaroid back in the 1950s when he was charged with the redesign of their brand in order to compete with Kodak, whose yellow and red dominated the marketplace. You can read his blog for the full story of his 20 years of branding work for Polaroid. The clean, modern packaging is a precursor to Apple packaging today.

love that package style. It would be totally cool to own a box.

I collect polaroid cameras and his work is still relevant today. I can imagine that when it hit the market it was revolutionary.
